Quick question

Unfortunately the tumor didn't respond to the chemo, so there wasn't really anything to do. She died a month ago.


Is the highlighted part of the sentence very natural?

It sort of works, but I think you normally see "so there really wasn't anything that could be done." "There really wasn't anything to do" usually means that you had time on your hands. Another possibility is "anything to be done."
