Quick question

How do you pronounce dream catcher?

Is it with a j

Top answer

Interesting. When I murmur that, it does sound a lot like a "j", but it is not. It is in between a "j" and a "d".

Yes, generally. You could use 'd' if you are trying to say it more correctly, but we are rarely so precise!

The first sound of that word is /d/ for most speakers of BrE.
