Quick question

Here's a quick question--is the following sentence grammatically correct?

"A write up that corrects an employee would be legitimate."

Thanks for any replies.

"write-up" should properly be hyphenated. Otherwise it is correct English, but more context would be helpful. In isolation it is not clear whether it is the best way to say what you want to say.
