Quick proof on Essay

I have to write an Essay for an HOBY Leadership Essay.
The prompt: Describe the most rewarding and challenging aspect of being a leader in your school and community.
(I am not finished with it.)

"The word leader can take on many forms and meanings, but to me it means being a helpful pier to counsel those in need of guidance. To take advantage of this title would be a horrible choice to make because of the respect and bond one could have made with trustful persons. I have had experience in being both types of leaders, but I have learned greatly from it. The most rewarding aspect of being a leader is being viewed as a role model in someone’s eyes and being the person people turn to when a situation is difficult. This gives me the utmost pride, which makes me want to work harder and put genuine effort in to what I do.

Being a leader can take place in something as ordinary as a regular high school or as important as the White House, but no matter the size or importance, being a leader is not easy. Cooperating with different personalities and attitudes towards my decisions as a leader can be difficult but I try to make a compromise that involves understanding their perspectives."

You really have to decide if you are going to write impersonally ("you, "one", "they"), or using first person. (I) If you are not finished with it, then make an outline of your essay with one main point per paragraph. Then you can see where you are going with it.
