1. Would they not rather you (seek).....sought (I would rather you + past) or just seek?.......... new sponsors?
2. His demand was that his son (acquit)...........acquits............. at once.
3. I'd better (go) ..........'go' or 'have/had gone'.............. to the bank last Friday.
(Normally it's 'go' but it's the first time I encounter this in the past form.)
4. He (not go) ......wasn't going.............. for forty yards in the direction of Picadilly when he (meet) ........met.............. Mary.
5. He had two bottles of vodka and got drunk. He (not get).......doesn't get................. drunk on vodka.
