Quick fix all right

Hi

A certain young guy said: I need to get myself patched up." He touched his face and his leg.

Another asked him: You want to go to the doctor at this hour?"

He answered: "Don't need no doctor. Hell, just feels like Friday night after a football game. Can't let it screw up your life. I got the quick fix all right."

I understand he was hurt in some way. But later he says, he needs no doctor and that he feels like it was a Friday night after a football game.

However I'm not sure what he's trying to say by: Can't let it screw up your life. I got the quick fix all right.

I'm not sure, since the phrasing seems a little off to me, but: Can't let it ***** up your life = I don't want to interrupt what I was going to do. I got the quick fix all right = I have an easy way to take care of this.

Thanks

Well, it doesn't say that, but I think that's his intent.

OK, thanks.

I thought to myself that maybe he wanted to say something like: It will heal itself (I don't need a doctor).
