Hi there! Can anybody tell me what is the meaning of "make sb whole"? ex. "She would listen to our problems and make us whole".

Hello, afoaofaitnol—and welcome to English Forums. To make someone whole means to heal someone, physically or spiritually, to make someone mentally or physically healthy, as with the modern idea of 'closure', for instance.

Good to be here. Thanks for taking the trouble to answer my question. Such a gift to be a native speaker of a language - any language. I have studied English in the past (and still am in a way) but I tend to believe no matter how hard I try, a superficial knowledge of the language is all I'll ever get. Anyway, thanks again. An excellent website.
