Questions Structure

Please help me justify this sentence: How much sugar do you eat every day, do you think ? Is this also grammatically correct?like the second sentence?

'How much sugar do you think you eat every day?

Why does 'do you think' have to be at the end? Is that grammatically correct?. Thank you.
