I am having difficulty undertanding the following sentense:
  • The questions on this paper are too difficult for ten-year-olds. [*]
(1) What does 'paper' stand for here?
(2) I wonder if [*] is close enough to
  • The questions posed by the author of the paper are so difficult that 10-year-olds can hardly address them
in meaning.
