Questions involving the phrase "he said"

Hi.

1) I think we don't have to back-shift the content of one's saying that is left to the future, for example, if a person said he will wash the dishes for a week and if we want to report that back, then the reported speech version would be (I think) both of thess: He said he will wash dishes for a week and He said he would wash dishes for a week. Right?

2) How should I write that in my writing? Only the "will" version will be used for this question. I think I have seen both being used eventhough, to me, the first one should be the one that is paraphrased since it isn't being quoted (I think).

He said that he will wash the dishes for a week.

He said, "He will wash the dishes for a week."

3) Would you say this is a case involving the use of the modal verb "would" in the context of looking at the future from the vantage point of the past (if I phrased it correctly)?

He said he would wash the dishes for a week if he got the pen he saw last week.

He said he would wash the dishes for a week if he didn't get reprimanded for the thing he did last week.

Sorry for posing many questions in one post.
