Hi teachers,

Is the question correct according to the answer?

How was Adam?

He was tired.

What about this one? Which is the correct option?

"How was Adam?" is okay.

A) and B) are equally correct, but "her" needs an antecedent.

I see two different meanings, though.

There are two (or more) police officers. One is by the door. It's a question of what that person said.

There is one police officer, and it's a question of what he said at that location, not in the bedroom or the kitchen.
