Questions about twins in a family.

Could you tell me, is using the continuous present the correct tense?

1 That's why my belly is growing so suddenly. I'm carrying twins.

Is it correct to say 'history of twins'?

2 The first thing a couple say once they find out they are having twins is 'But we don't have a history of twins in our family'

Is 'came to be' what you would have said in the context?
3 How do you think the first twins in a family came to be. There always is a first.

Thanks

what is the difference between 'us growing' so suddenly' and 'has grown so suddenly' which would you say?

Are you saying that 'came to be' is what you would have said because grammatically speaking I know it is correct, but in the context?

The first is now; the second is recently. I might say either.
