Questions about make/get/have/let

Question A-make:

(1)Is it correct with the structure of ’make something/sudject of’ ,meaning that causes

something to be something ?

For instance:

1.Don’t make a habit of smoking = don’t make smoking a habit,is it correct ?

2.He always makes a terrifying mess of any affair in the end = He always makes any

affair a terrifying mess in the end,is it correct ?

3.It’s important to try make something different of your life = It’s important to

try make your life someting different,is it correct ?

4.I’ll make cleaning the house my chore tomorrow = I’ll make my work of cleaning the

House tomorrow,is it correct ?

Could I use 'let' to replace 'make' in these sentences ?

CalifJim "Within minutes he had the whole audience laughing and clapping."

Is it fine all right if I rewrite the above sentence with 'made' and 'got' in this way as follows:

"Within minutes he made the whole audience laugh and clap." Not good. He did not say, "You must laugh and clap or I will punish you". That would be "making them laugh and clap".

"Within minutes he got the whole audience to laugh and clap." OK. He succeeded in his attempts to cause them to laugh and clap.

(2)From the thread above that I guess that make means to force/cause someone to

do something on purpose .However if it goes with this meaning, then :

Don’t make her cry.Meaning that someone asks the other not to say:”You must cry

or I will punish you!”,isn’t it odd ?

He made me laugh,it implies that he said: “You must laugh now!” and I obeyed his order

to laugh, instead I laughed because of he said some jokes or something he did, probably.Isn’t very odd ?

Or I’ve got your meaning wrong, actually? Please correct me if I’m wrong, thanks.

(3)Make is in higher register suggests that it is more appropriate in formal writting than get ?

CalifJim made the house cleaned does not work. No. Generally speaking, make doesn't work with past participles like cleaned, though there are exceptions.
You can't say make the furniture polished, make the house painted, make the window opened, and similar combinations.

What are the exceptions, could you tell me ?

So that I cannot say that

the painter is now making the wall painted with white colour, and

My mum was making the bed washed at the yesterday afternoon .

While getting and having instead ?

To be continued.
