Questions about "as"

Consider the following sentence

"Studying is important for me as breathing for human"

From what I have learned, the structure "as...as" should be used when using "as" in comparison, so I deem that it would be
"Studying is 'as' important for me 'as' breathing for human"

And if it is used as a conjunction in comparison, it should be followed by a clause with a subject and a verb, then it would be
"Studying is important for as breathing 'is' for me"

Am I correct?

I am currently studying English and this problem has been stuck in my mind for a month...

Thanks to the people who will help me later...or tomorrow

But I still have no clue of how to use one "as" in comparison without using two "as" (as...as").

"Studying is as important for me as breathing for humans"?
OR
"Studying is important for me as breathing is fo

The little word "as" is tricky because we can use it as the "comparison" operator as well as a conjunction and a preposition.
