He (Mike) steps into the living room and looks around, when suddenly Jess barges out from behind a curtain, past Mike, knocking him to the floor, and flees into the kitchen.

- Is it okay? Please improve it if necessary.

- Is it clear that Mike is knocked to the floor because Jess barges past him and not because she punches him or anything?
