Questions

Hello,

Many kind thanks in advance for anyone who can help me answer the following questions:

1.Under what circumstances is one to use the word woman vs. female? One is a biological term, while the other one is a social term.

2.What is the difference between among vs. amongst? In addition, what is the proper way to use it?

3.What is the best way to use say vs. tell ? In my mind, this involves reported speech and/or one or both taking an object and having an indirect object. I am not sure.

4. Finally, can a pronoun be the object of a verb? For example, "tell me please." Is me the object of tell?
