Hi

Are both of them correct: If somebody has finished writing his/her test earlier you can go home. OR If somebody finishes writing his/her test earlier you can go home.

Also: Have you ever been IN/ON a plane? ---should it be "in"or "on"?

Thanks

'Earlier' muddles the sentence in either position. This is good:

Once you've finished writing the test you can go home.
