What does one mean by "managing profitable customer relationships"?I mean what is the actual meaning of "manage" here; I can't seem to relate the meanings of the dictionary with it?

I'd say it means to manipulate the relationship(s) (with the customer(s)) in such a way as to make it/them profitable to the company.

Sorry, I was still thinking -

It doesn't mean to go out and find a profitable relationship and then manage it,
but rather to make them profitable - to arrange for them to be profitable to the company.

- managing that customer relationships will be profitable

- taking care to see that they are profitable

Another says: to use money, time, information, etc. in a sensible way. E.g. Don't tell me how to manage my affairs. (Does this meaning mean "to handle effectively)
