Question with "dismiss"?

Does "dismiss" and "disregard" mean exactly the same thing?

If so, then does both of them mean "to ignore" or "to neglect"?

Are all of these interchangeable?

Both "dismiss" and "disregard" listed as synonyms under the word "discount"? Does this mean that all these words are interchangeable and mean exactly the same thing?

And yes i did consult my dictionary. They don't seem identical completely. However, some of these words are listed as synonyms in certain words and they all seemed, in

Hi,

Yes, they are related.

I answered the way I did because you used the word 'exactly' twice in your original post.
