Question to dialog

Tim: I'm not going to leave you, Tom.

Tom: You have to. Otherwise we'll be both die.

Tim: I'm not leaving you goddammit!

My question is about Tim's lines. Is it natural to first say "I'm not going to leave you" and then secondly say "I'm not leaving you goddammit!" Is the second more definite to confirm that he in no way will leave Tom to die?
