Question. (The First Day)

Hi Teachers,

Is this a correct question according to the answer?

What was the night sky like over the man’s head?

Over the man’s head the night sky was black and cold.

Thanks in advance

Hi. The night sky is the same in a large area including the area over man's head, so you do not need to be that much precise. The response can give more details but the question should be simply like this; What was the sky like there?

My answer would be the same as I said, You do not necessarily need to make mention of over man's head in your question.

However, your question is grammatically right.

Hi,

It is not idiomatic to say that the sky was "cold"; it doesn't make sense. "Dark" is much better here.

Hi hrsanei,

Thank you very much. The thing is I know it, and the truth is that I made the mistake. That's even worse.
