Is it okay to add question tags like below in the sentences including prefix non- ?

He's a non-smoker, is he? (Is he a smoker?)

He's a non-smoker, isn't he? (Isn't he a non-smoker?)

Tags are OK, but I wouldn't have assumed that "He's a non-smoker, is he?" meant he was a smoker. It means, at least to me, that he's a non-smoker.

JoshStafford Tags are OK, but I wouldn't have assumed that "He's a non-smoker, is he?" meant he was a smoker. It means, at least to me, that he's a non-smoker.[/quoteI thought the same way. Perhaps I would use [right? ] instead if possible.
