Question tag task | Must-Mustn't

Hi, everybody!
So, there was a Question Tag task in my test today. It was pretty easy, but I think I filled one of the sentences incorrect.

''You must clean your room, ____________?''

I wrote here 'don't you', instead of mustn't because I think must-mustn't sounds weird. And I've never heard from anyone who uses the sentence like this.

But I'm sure the teacher will tell me again, that "We are studying British English, in this school!!" :/

I know that this (maybe) grammatically wrong, but this the only mistake I made so I thought I take the risk.

Hi Melinda,
There's nothing wrong with "mustn't you." In fact, it is the correct answer in the above sentence.

e.g.,
A: Let's go to the cinema.
B: But hang on; you must clean your room first, mustn't you?

You were probably thinking of the synonym "have to". You can't mix the two when you do the tag question.

You must ..., mustn't you?
You have to ..., don't you?

AnonymousIs it what I wrote totally unacceptable and wrong? how I wrote it?
It is incorrect, in my view.
In fact, one annoying trend that I fear may be gaining some traction in modern colloquial English is the use of "isn't it" (reduced in some dialects to "init") as an all-purpose, one-size-fits-all tag question.

Yes. Unfortunately, it really sounds awful.
