I was looking for answer of question tag of I am . as an english teacher

The statement says ,

I,m going to play today , ......................? I answered The negative tag as Am I not.but found some resources like

Practical english usage for michael swan answer . I am late , Arent I ? no more explanation .

I am going to play today, ain't I? or aren't t?

I just know that we do not form a tag as (amn't I?).
