Hi Teachers.Could you correct the reported speech sentences?Woman: Did you have an accident?     Man: Yes I did. Because the road was icy.a) The woman asked if he had had an accident.b) The man answered yes because the road has been icy.Thanks in advance

Sorry, why you don't use '... he had an accident because ...'. Isn't it necessary?

... he had had an accident is the full form.

You can stop at the auxiliary if you want.

She asked if he had gone to China.

He said that he had (gone to China).

She asked whether he had seen that movie.

He answered that he had (seen that movie).

She asked if he had had an accident.

He said that he had (had an accident).
