question regarding paragraph example

I have a few questions regarding the below paragraph:

"The purpose of this study is to find out if children's imaginative play behaviour is different depending on complexity of a sand-play area, and provide a guide for promoting imaginative play of children. To achieve this, whether there are differences in imaginative play's type and essential factors is examined, and whether these differences are dependent on the age of children."

- "children's imaginitive play behaviour is different" or "children's imaginitive play behaviours are different"?

- "promoting imaginitive play of children" or "promoting imaginitive plays of children"?

- "in imaginitive play's type" or "type of imaginitive plays" or "imaginitive plays' types"? Is the first one OK?

- in "whether there are differences in imaginative play's type and essential factors is examined".. should the bold one be 'are', or is it fine? I have a little trouble discerning what it's refering to.

- can you please edit the paragraph to make it more natural / get rid of errors?

Hope it's not too many questions, thanks.
