Hello all, I am having some doubts about the use of Past Perfect tense and need some guidance. Let me give you an example:
"You've lived in London for a year and you already can speak English better than I did after I had lived in England for 3 years."
Firstly, I have to add that the person saying that is still living in England. Is the above example correct? Or rather, should the person use Simple Past? Secondly, is the word 'after' okay? Can it be substituted with 'when'? The meaning of that ought to be 'at the point in time when'. Are both accetable?
