Question in "everybody"

I know that "everybody" is single.

OK, which one is correct:

- Everybody who I know has traveled, I'll miss them

- Everybody who I know has traveled, I'll miss him.

If it's "them", why did we it? "everybody is single"

Thanks

I would say: Everybody (who/whom/that) I know has gone away and I'll miss them. Everybody takes a singular verb but can be followed by a plural pronoun : Everybody has to take off his hat, or: Everybody has to take off their hats. Cheers CB
