Question II please answer

I __________ since breakfast and I’m very tired.

a. was travelling

b. am travelling

as there is 'since breakfast'....so i guess it's still going on, so it should be 'have been travelling'

indeed the second part of the sentence is i am very tired that is present tense. please explain.
