Question "How long?" with stative verb or dynamic verb

In this "englishlanguage101.wordpress.com" site, I didn't understand the first part. The parts are as follows below:
the present continuous or present progressive is used for an action that is happening at the moment of speaking, or an action that is in progress in the present period of time
stative verbs do not indicate a definite time duration. The states expressed are unchanging while they last and you cannot ask How long have/has…with them. For example, you can’t really ask “How long have you hated the coffee?” or “How long have you had black hair?” with these verbs.
Here it says that stative verbs do not indicate a definite time duration and It is not possible to ask "how long?" with stative verbs. I agree with it.
Now my question is that:
1. Does the present progressive express a definite time duration?
2. Can I ask "How long" with the present progressive to indicate definite time duration?
