Question form using Would + ing verb

My friends say that we can use (1) Would you like a drink? (2) Would you like to drink? but we cannot use (3) Would you like drinking?

If (3) is wrong, why so?

Please help, thank you.

For general enquiries, we use the simple present of habit-- 'do you like to drink?' or 'do you like drinking?'
