Question asking for one example or three?

I have trouble interpreting the question below. Can you tell me if it's asking for one example or three? Thanks.

3. Select an example from the readings that illustrates each of the following three statements. Do not use the case involving Hiram Phillips as an example.

a. (20 points) Carefully conceived and implemented incentive schemes can yield improved firm performance.
b. (20 points) Poorly conceived and implemented incentive schemes can yield disastrous results.
c. (20 points) Skillful executives sometimes can find ways to avoid the agency costs associated with monitoring.

Anonymous Select an example from the readings that illustrates each of the following three statements. Do not use the case involving Hiram Phillips as an example. My interpretation is that it is asking for an (one) example (but not the Hiram Phillips case) where all three of these points are relevant.

I think the question is confusing and badly worded. I actually thought it meant three examples, especially since separate marks are given for each.

It is very badly worded... it could be as Mr W interprets, a separate example for each one.
So the answer lies perhaps in the readings - are they robust enough for one case to support all 3, or are they short examples which would support only one of the points.
