Question & Answer

Hi.

Could someone please review my answer to this particular question below? Any comments will be most appreciated. Thanks!

Question: As Michele is cycling down the hill, how does the writer create an atmosphere of suspense?

Answer: The atmosphere of suspense is demonstrated through the use of descriptive and vivid words. Ammaniti draws out an atmosphere of suspense by creating an ominous nature behind Michele's bike ride. "The close I got to the house, the bigger the yellow hill grow in front of me, and the heavier the weight that crushed my chest, taking my breath away", indicates a sense of fear elevating for Michele; for the readers, suspense may be developing as Michele ominously rides closer to Filippo.
