Question after mdash

Hi,

If I want to ask a question after emdash, should it begin with a capital? In the example below is 'Did' okay or should it be 'did'?

This was her answer—Did anyone even bother to question her?

I can't make sense of it, but it certainly looks wrong. You can't use em-dash-capital like that.

It is not a good use of the em dash. You just need a full stop.
