Question about writing.

Hi people Emotion: smile I'm from Argentina and I'm having a headache with the next sentence: I don't know how to finish it correctly, I will mark it with a parenthesis

"Revenge does not bring the dead back to life,(but it (revenge) does bring the avenger back to life)"

I know it's terrible, but I don't have the exact clause to give it an end. I will appreciate your help and ideas. Thank you.
