Question about 'the'

Hi everyone,

I am a bit confused about the following sentence. Which one is more correct:

a) sensors send the collected data to gateway devices.
b) sensors send the collected data to the gateway devices.

Without "the" the you only need when y
ou mean one specific gateway. I guess you meaning is more in general and it is also written in plural therefore no "the"
