Question about Tense

(A) I hoped that the plane [would be] on time.
(B) I hoped that the plane [will be] on time.
(C) I hoped that the plane [leaves] on time.
(D) I hoped that the plane on time.

For example, I hope the plane will arrive on time now. Then one week later I look back on what I said today, I would say, "I hoped the plane would arrive( or be ) on time."

So, Sentence A sounds natural in that situation.

However, isn't there any situation or context where the other Senteces B, C and D could sound natural too?

If the main clause is "He said" like
"He said the plane will be on time,"
it can also be natural when he said so only a second ago and the plane hasn't arrived yet. But when I use "I hoped," it sounds against my ear to say,"I hoped the plane will be on time," because if the planed hasn't arrived yet, I still hope the same even now. So I wouldn't say "I hoped."

Could all the Sentences A, B, C and D sound natural? Or only (A) is correct?
