Question about short phrases

Hi Teachers,
Could all the underlined words be considered short phrases?
1. How can you help yourself learn a new language, such as English?
2. You do not have to understand everything all at once.
3. You will get used to writing in English.
4. When you keep a record of something, you are preserving information so that you can refer to it later.
5. Somewhere else means another place.

Thanks in advance

Hi Mister Micawber,
Thank you so much for you reply and commentary, but there's no problem in this case because the students have to fill in the blanks an exercise with the underlined bold words given in my previous post and the ones below.
The directions for the exercise are, 'Circle the letter that best corresponds to the underlined word or phrase'.
