question about 'settle for'

Question: I have a hot temper. So I don't like my personality. I'm trying to correct my personality. In the above sentence, can I use the phrase 'settle for' instead of 'like'? I mean I’m wondering if this sentence ‘I don’t settle for my personality’ is correct or not.
