Question about sentences

Dear all,

Please see the following sentence. One of my superiors told me that this sentence is incorrect. He said, "this gives me a feeling that "condition" was admitted in the hospital." But I feel that this sentence is correct. I would like to get your expert opinion on this.

1) His condition worsened after being admitted to the hospital.

Thank you.
