Question about sentences

Dear all,

The other day I happened to see an English teacher explaining different contexts to use "would have been". One of her examples is given below.

1) If I had gone to the party last night I would have been tired today. (Here I personally feel that that sentence should have been "If I had gone to the party last night I would be tired today". Kindly correct me if I am wrong.)

Thank you.

I do too, but "would have been tired today" also works because it can be a summary of how the speaker has been feeling today up to the time he makes this comment on it. The speaker is saying that he/she hasn't been tired
