Dear all,

Kindly tell me which of the following expressions are correct.

1) Your hands smell of fish.

2) Your hands smell fish.

3) I like my tea black.

4) I like black tea.


Thank you.

1), 3), and 4) are correct. 2) is not correct. (Your hands don't have a nose, so they can't smell anything.
