Dear all,
Heredity, Hereditary, Legacy, these words often confuse me as a non native speaker. Sometimes I feel difficulty in constructing sentences using these words. Kindly tell me whether the following sentences are correct.
1) We are Communists by heredity/hereditary.
2) We are Communist followers/believers by heredity/hereditary.
(What I mean here is from my great grandfather's time we have been following Communism).
3. I have got some land and ancestoral home as legacy. ( Here what I mean by ancestoral home is the house where my father and mother are living. We are three children. My parents have given the house to me.)
Thank you.

Through heredity, variations between individuals can accumulate and cause species to evolve by natural selection.
