Question about sentences

Dear all,

I would like to ask one question to you. One person said "sorry" to me the other day. I wish to tell him no need to say "sorry". Please tell me which of the following is the apt expression. And I would like to know whether the first expression is correct.

1) Don't be sorry.

2) Don't say sorry.
