Dear all,
I would like to know whether the words "cradle" and "cot" have the same meaning in the following sentence. One more question instead of calling a baby "his" or "her" can we call as "it".?
"The baby is sleeping in the cradle/cot and his mother swinging it".
Thank you.
A cradle usually has rockers and a cot has fixed feet. The baby is sleeping in the cradle and his mother is rocking him.
