Please tell me whether the following sentence is correct.

Is my hair so messy?

It seems unusual. It is not just an embellished or emphasised way of asking "Is my hair messy?" It may be possible in a certain context where "so" refers to a degree or extent that has previously been mentioned, but I think "that" would be used more often than "so":

A: You look like a scarecrow.
B: Really? Is my hair so/that messy?

If all you mean to ask is whether your hair is more messy than it ought to be, try "Is my hair very messy?"
