Question about sentences
Dear all,
I would like to know the exact meaning of the following sentence. For me it doesn't make any sense. Kindly enlighten me on this.
"Why was he arrested? He is supposed to have attached a policeman".

I am quite sure this sentence had a typo error. He was arrested because " he was supposed to have "attacked" a policeman.
