Question about "Mobile plan"

Hello Teachers,

I'm doing an assignment about Mobile plan, it says:

3.5 for the 1st min and 0.25 for any minute after the 1st min. 1 min rounding for the 1se min and 1 sec rounding from the 2nd min.

What does rounding mean? Thank you in advance.

Top answer

rounding is taking a fraction, and moving it to the closest whole number. For a phone plan, they probably "round up" to the next highest number. 7 rounds to 3 in either case.

2.3 would round up to 3 (normally it would round to 2)

2.7 rounds to 3 in either case.
