Question about petition

Question

School uniform will be banned if there are 30000 people signed.

But I dont know how how many ppl are required to sign in order to take charge on banningthe uniform and I want to know what would happen if there is enough people has signed. Should I ask:

"What would happen if the petition has reached its limit?"

Or What would happen if the petition has reached _____(cant think of it).

There is a petition that school uniforms no longer are required in the school district.

Case 1: If the petition gets 30,000 signatures, then a proposition will be put on a ballot and a vote taken among all the voting-age population.

The ballot question might be like this:

School uniforms should be required (Yes/No)

Case 2:

However, if this is not a petition for a ballot proposition, then the school authorities will remove the requirement for uniforms if more than 30,000 people sign the petition.
