Question about 'own'

Hi teachers,

Aren't these directions a bit redundant because of 'own'? Wouldn't they be better without it?

Listen and complete the following article. When you are finished, you will create your own questions on page 7.

Presumably, there are questions created by someone else in the article or in a sample exercise, in which case, 'own' is a natural contrastive modifier for 'questions'.
